Ph.D. candidate Gabriel Martínez, El Colegio de México (Mexico City, Mexico), and recipient of an Emerging Leaders of the Americas Program grant, will be working with LARC Fellow Dr. Amelia Kiddle in 2015. 

Dr. Amelia Kiddle, Dept. of History, spoke about her research on the history of oil and energy in Mexico and Latin America at El Colegio de Mexico. Link to full video interview. 

On February 10, LARC hosted a presentation by Dr. Odile Cisneros, University of Alberta, titled "Can Literature Save the Planet? Lessons from Latin America" as part of the Speaker Series. 

Director Isaac Ezban and producer Miriam Mercado were on hand on January 22 to present their award-winning film, El Incidente

Days of National Festivity in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1823-1889 wins Warren Dean Memorial Prize from Conference on Latin American History.
