June 12, 2013: Excerpt from introduction of the forthcoming Latin American Security Conference proceedings is available online. Complete proceedings to be published by early October 2013.

May 15, 2013: Recent LARC Graduate Student in Residence, Caroline Hemstock, will be living in Bogota, Colombia, as part of a CIDA Youth Internship in partnership with Human Rights Internet. She will be working with the organization Iniciativa de Mujeres Colombianas por la Paz in Bogota for 6 months focusing on the situation of women in armed conflict and their role in the reconciliation process.

May 10, 2013: "Latin American Security: Implcations for Canadian & International Policy." The conference held on May 2 & 3, 2013, on security in the Americas was a success! Thank you to all sponsors, keynote speakers, presenters and attendees. Conference proceedings will be published in the Fall 2013.

Dr. Randall meets Leonel Fernandez, three term President of the Dominican Republic who served until August 2012.  President Fernandez was honored by the CCA with the Statesman of the Year Award.
