Join LARC and the Consulate of Mexico in Calgary for the final screening of our Mexican cinema series with the highly-acclaimed film Burros (2011) by director Odin Salazar. Lautaro is a ten year old boy who lives in a Mexican town in the nineteen forties. His father has just been killed, and his mother, fearing he too could come to harm, sends him away to live with an aunt. However, Lautaro can't stand to be away from his family and runs away.
