Graduate Students in Residence Nominations are now Open

The Latin American Research Centre invites nominations for graduate students in residence for the 2018-19 academic year. Graduate Students in Residence are an important part of the LARC community. We encourage students to engage in a range of activities that include contributing to LARC publications or presenting their work in LARC-sponsored lectures or in the graduate student symposium. The Centre will provide space, a computer, and printer access. There is no monetary compensation.

University faculty are invited to nominate second-year MA students and post-comprehensive exam PhD students from any discipline working on Latin American topics. Please send nominations to by Thursday May 10, 2018.

Nominations should include the following information:

  • The nominator’s letter.
  • A one-page statement of the student’s research describing how it will further LARC’s mission.
  • A letter of support from the student’s supervisor (if he or she is not the nominator).
  • The student’s CV (with full contact information).

Incomplete nominations will not be considered. If you have any questions please let me know.
