Critical Geographies Conference

LARC is pleased to support the 13th Annual Critical Geographies Conference to be held at the University of Calgary September 28-29, 2018. Additional support is from the Department of Geography, the Faculty of Arts, and the Office of the Vice-President (Research).

The conference will be held on traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy. The city of Calgary is also the home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III and we will work towards inclusion of non-academic knowledges.

The mini-conference is open to students, faculty members, and members of the public. We hope the unique geographies of Southern Alberta will provide potential topics for scholarly work and excellent opportunities for diverse knowledges and the arts to be engaged. There is no fee for attending or participating in the conference. However, registration is required. For more information about submission deadlines and program visit www.critgeogminicon.org.
